Erica Brynn Barton tragically left us on
June 7, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on
November 8, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jeff and Debbie
Barton.
Currently, she was working as a RN at University of Utah
Medical Center in maternity and Newborn Care, and before
that as an HCA in the OR. She loved her work in the health
field and had many great friends and experiences there.
She was also currently enrolled at the University of Utah
pursuing her BSN.
She was an adventurous and creative person. She had a
passion for life and truly lived it to the fullest. She
traveled the world with her friends and also did
humanitarian work in Kenya, India, and Peru. She loved art
and music, and played the harp beautifully. Brynn had
many, many wonderful friends whom she adored. Many lives
were touched in all that she did.
Her contagious smile and infectious laugh spread happiness
to those around her. She loved her family and inspired us
to gather often and enjoyed her “sista”hood. She lived
to inspire us all. Brynn will be sorely missed by all who
loved her.
Brynn is survived by her parents; siblings: Brooke (David)
Gatti, Emilee (Brandon) Shafizadeh, Erin, and Jeffrey;
nephews Hunter and Noah Gatti, niece Grace Gatti;
grandparents David and Judy Fox, and many aunts, uncles,
and cousins. We as her family express our deepest
gratitude for all the many kindnesses and acts of love
given at this time of grief.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at
12:00 noon at the Murray Utah South Stake Center at 5735
South Fashion Boulevard in Murray, Utah. A viewing will be
held Saturday morning, from 9:30 until 11:30 am prior to
the funeral. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401
South Highland Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Thought I
would let you know the latest from the Bracken Webb clan. We
found out in January that we'll be spending the next two
years in Cincinnati Ohio as I train there at the Children's
Hospital in a residency for pediatric dentistry. We
are very excited! Also, we changed our blog

Barton Update

Brett had a near
brush with death on October 18th. As you can see by the
smile on his face, he was fortunate to survive brain surgery
to stop bleeding that could have killed him. He is currently
at home recuperating. He has a good prognosis but has yet to
regain hearing in his left ear.
We appreciate all
the prayers and support during this challenging time.

On Friday I took my Auditing & Attestation exam (test 3 of
4 to get my CPA license). It was LONG (4.5 hours) and I
didn't sleep a wink the night before because Lily decided
to scream all night for no apparent reason. Anyway, I
won't find out if I passed for about 6 weeks or so, but at
least it is over and I can relax for a week until I start
studying for my last exam. We leave tomorrow night to go
to Pennsylvania to visit Riki's parents on their mission.
We will spend most of the week in Harrisburg with Nanna &
Pappa, but we are also going to Pittsburgh and
Philadelphia to visit Riki's friends and Bracken's family.
I am so excited for a week of relaxation and time to spend
with Riki & Lily. It feels so weird to have nothing to do.

Hi everyone! We know it has been a long time since we have
updated our blog and apologize for that. A lot has changed
in our lives recently; Ryan is now working for Congressman
Mitchell as an intern on the hill, we found a new
apartment located right across the street from the
National Cathedral and we are both starting school
tomorrow! We are so excited for these changes in our life!
The new apartment we found was really such a big blessing.
We have been living in a very small studio basement
apartment which has been great for our first year in DC,
but we have decided it is time to have a bedroom and
windows :) Our new apartment is beautiful! It has gorgeous
wood floors through out, a big kitchen, 2 air conditioning
units, big windows, 10 ft ceilings, ceiling fans, A BRAND
NEW FRIDGE, A DISHWASHER and A BEDROOM WITH A WALK IN
CLOSET! All these things seem so little, but to us they
are huge because we have never lived in a place this nice
since we have been married. SO BASICALLY WE ARE
ECSTATIC!!!! We start school tomorrow and are very excited
for this semester. Well we have to go, but will keep
everyone updated. |

from Ryan and McKenna (4-18-2007)
The Spring is finally here in
DC, but it is still a little chilly. The weather has been
very unpredictable these last couple weeks. One day it will
be sunny and warm and the next day raining and a chance of
snow; it really is strange. :) It is finally starting to
warm up a little bit, and we are very excited for the day
when we don't have to wear jackets anymore!
Ryan is finishing up his 2nd semester at American
University. These last couple weeks he has many papers due
that determine his final grades in his classes. He enjoys
his classes, but is a little antsy for the semester to be
over, just like every student at the end of the year. He
will finish with his classes the beginning of May and then
will start up a summer session at the end of May. Ryan found
a new job at American University that pays him better and
will fit very well with his school schedule.
McKenna is still working for an orthodontist in Chevy Chase.
She met with her new advisor at American University to set
up her class schedule for the fall semester and they
determined that majoring in Communications and minoring in
Education would be the best route for her in graduating. She
has 2 years left of school and will then graduate with her
BA.
Our goal for the next few months is to save up money to buy
a nice Flat screen TV and an Xbox 360 with a game called
"Guitar Hero" (yes we know we are weird but we
have a lot of fun!) We are enjoying DC and really love each
adventure we have here.
